I get fascinated with Mathematical applications in Astrophysics. Fortunately, I get to study the Star's Internal Oscillations in my Ph.D. and a bit of Binary Black Hole Mergers in my Master's Degree.
I did my Master's Dissertation on "Time Series Analysis and its Applications in Astrophysics" where I tried to detect the Gravitational-Wave Signal caused due to a merger of two Black Holes using a Statistical time series model called Singular Spectrum Analysis. However, other modules that interested me during my Master's Degree include Statistics for Data Science, Operational Research and Analytics, Timeseries analysis and Forecasting, Financial Mathematics and Modern Actuarial Risk Theory, Credit Risk Scoring, Business and Risk Strategy, and Supply-chain Modelling.
My Ph.D. project is an attempt to understand "How the Atmospheres of Cool, Magnetised Stars are Powered? " which continued to remain as an astrophysical mystery. I will be using state-of-the-art numerical models to solve the magnetohydrodynamic equations, which probably lead to new insights into the behavior of cool star's atmospheres.
I hail from Andhra Pradesh, India. Since my childhood, I would always get amazed looking at the night sky, wondering how it is like to be up there! It is in my high school that I have learnt Mathematics can address my curiosity. That's when I have decided to make my career in Mathematics.
I am currently a Research Student at Northumbria University, Newcastle. I hold a Master's Degree in Operational Research and Applied Statistics from Cardiff University, Wales. My Bachelor's degree is in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science from Osmania University, India.
My other interests include English Literature and Inline Skating.
