Dr Mohammed Mazumder joined Northumbria University in January 2020 as a Lecturer in Accounting. Before joining Northumbria University, he had taught at the University of Dhaka from 2008 to 2019. He has experience in teaching both Financial and Management Accounting at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He obtained his PhD from Tohoku University and an MBA in Accounting from the University of Dhaka. His current research interests primarily lie in corporate reporting practices, including risk reporting, intellectual reporting, CSR and sustainability reporting. He has published in international peer-reviewed journals including Business Ethics: A European Review, Journal of Accounting in Emerging Economies, Journal of Accounting & Organizational Change, Journal of Operational Risk, International Journal of Comparative Management, Indian Journal of Corporate Governance. As a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA), Dr Mazumder maintains a solid professional network and contributes extensively to professional development.
