My current research investigates the impact of future climatic change on Icelandic ice caps using the ice flow model Úa.

The changing climate of the world has increased mass lost from ice caps altering mass balance. Icelandic ice caps are especially sensitive to changes in climate. The recent thinning and accelerated retreat experienced by many glaciers raises concern for the contribution to sea level rise. The use of numerical models can increase our understanding of ice behaviour.
