DOCUMENT PURPOSE: This document provides a summary of evidence on environmental crime and its health impacts, as well as the wider role of green spaces within this. It summarises some tested techniques for decreasing littering, vandalism and incivilities. It outlines the work that is underway at Newcastle City Council and makes some recommendations as to how this work might be supported by public health funds.
